After much thought and dismay over the discovery that Bloodborne Awakened’s availability on a free to read website, a reluctant decision to continue the series finally came to an end. For now, the Bloodborne series is on permeant hold. At this current time, it is unclear who uploaded the book on a free to read website, but it does lean towards an ebook download, which could have come from any one of the distribution centers.
As disheartening as this experience has been, it does give me a chance to overcome these obstacles with a lesson learned.
With all that said, I will continue writing and hope to have a new series completed next year. This time we’re doing things differently. My future books will be exclusively available at Barnes and Noble.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
What happened to Bloodborne Awakened? Well folks, I’ll make this long story short and sweet. We pulled the book back in January for some re-editing, and before I could get back to the manuscript and book, my husband and I purchased a house. I suppose you could say after the CORVID 19 struck, everything for the new house proved difficult. But we managed to close on the home and begin a new journey.
After finally moving into our new home, there is still much in the way of remolding and repairs to be done. However, I have found my computer and my office space. That's a plus, right? :)
Honestly, I don’t want to rush the book’s update. I want to take my time and work through my list of repairs, like we’ve been doing with our new home. Yeah, I know the book is not a house that you can just slap on a new coat of paint and call it pretty—it is much more than that. I want to give the readers a full experience. Imagine what a painful revelation it was to discover that some of the details that were removed from the original manuscript shouldn’t have been. They may have slowed the story down a bit, but it answered some of the questions that many readers have had.
For those of you that have read Bloodborne Awakened and genuinely enjoyed the book, I thank you for your comments and support. For those who have given honest response to improving the quality of the book, suggestions etc., I thank you as well. Every step along the writing road helps the writer, at least I think so.
Our goal for the rerelease of Bloodborne Awakened will be for this fall. However, we do regret to announce that we will not be re-releasing the paperback or hard cover version. After much debate, it has been decided that our books will only be released in eBook format.
Much LOVE to you all!!
Stay tuned for more updates!
